The CD group and its history
History
Established in 1981 by Jean-Willy Bihler, Choco-Diffusion started out as a distributor of food products: chocolate, biscuits and caramels. The company has retained the characteristics of a family establishment, and has grown year-on-year since it was founded. Today, the group has diversified its business to include several famous chocolate brands (SwissDream, Goldkenn, Bibichoc), a copacking service, and the well-known coffee brand "La Semeuse", established in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1900.
In 2006, Nicolas Bihler, the son of the founder, took over as head of the company. The founder's four children work for Choco-Diffusion and help make it a company with strong values. It plans to remain a family-run business which enjoys a close working relationship with its consumers and employees.
The Choco-Diffusion group now employs more than 85 permanent staff members, which rises to 120 during peak seasonal production periods (Christmas and Easter).
